Community links means being outward-facing

Our church is part of the community of Great Lumley and we have a role to play in enriching the life of the village and being a clear witness to the truth of the gospel. How does that work out?

The way we each live our lives and engage on a personal level
Some of us choose to get involved in local politics, be school governors, work for the community association, generally stay connected with key organisations. Some work in the Co-op, join the bowls club or the WI or the Friday Club.

Doing stuff in the community
What have we done? Open air services, football tournaments, christian music concerts, awareness days, Cool to be Kind, school assemblies, Christian Aid week, being good neighbours and good friends, prayer walking, youth work of various kinds, running a holiday club and so the list goes on. The main thing is that we need to keep doing stuff.
