Pastoral Care

Pastoral Care

Jesus tells us to 'love one another' and that love can be expressed in many ways but especially important is the way we watch out for others in our fellowship.

We all have a responsibility for each other and most of the responsibility is exercised within the home groups. If someone in the group is ill or need, it's the responsibility of the group to visit and give assistance. We pray for each other, keep each other informed and do our best to ensure that no-on feels isolated or neglected. It's a key thing in the life of the church and we take it seriously.

Each Monday morning at 10.15am representatives from the home groups and the leadership steward for pastoral oversight meet to share information and pray. It's part of the fellowship that goes on while preparing for Heaven's Kitchen's lunches the folowing day.

Much of the early prayer meeting on Wednesdays is also taken up in praying for members of the fellowship who are in need in some way. We see prayer as being as practical as a visit, a card, a phone call or putting some much needed cash in someone's hand.
